Insurance Industry Veteran and Thought Leader Ed Hanna Named to Fill New Role
CAMDEN, NJ (May 13, 2021) – Conner Strong & Buckelew, a leading insurance, risk management and employee benefits brokerage and consulting firm, announced today it welcomes industry thought leader, Ed Hanna, as Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). Hanna has over 20 years’ experience helping clients create meaningful and efficient ERM programs that allow senior leaders and boards to foster more risk aware cultures and promote timely decision making without creating overly complex bureaucracies that stifle agility.
This investment epitomizes the firm’s strategic objectives to further develop and expand industry expertise, navigate challenging markets, foster innovation, and promote mutual growth with clients. In this newly created position, Hanna will oversee the development and delivery of new technologies and services to better manage risk. The practice will work closely with Major Accounts and Employee Benefits Divisions to bring services full circle by mapping risks to commercial and human capital insurance solutions. Further, clients will gain awareness of non-insurable risks too often managed in silos and be positioned to make better decisions to mitigate the downside and capitalize on the upside of risk.

Hanna has extensive experience with both enterprise and insurance-based risk management solutions in a broad range of industry verticals. Most recently he served as the Commercial and Sales Leader for RCM&D’s Pennsylvania operations. Hanna is also an active member of the insurance industry and serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Insurance Society of Philadelphia.
